London 10's 2014- Dates and Venue announced! PLUS a fantastic new partnership with Find Rugby Now!

Following a successful 2012 London 10s event with 20 rugby and over 20 Touch teams participating, we are very pleased to announce that the 2014 event will be held on Saturday 26th July at Ilford RFC in East London.

And this year we have some fantastic news as we have forged a great new partnership with the brilliant Find Rugby Now Sevens Tournament to bring you one of the largest rugby participation events in London!!

With rugby (7s, 10s and Touch), music, bars and food, the event has something for everyone! Exact details of the event and entry will be online soon, but put the date in your diary and we lookg forward to seeing you there!

 

 

HSBC Penguins are coming to London 10s!

The London 10s are pleased to announce that the famous HSBC Peguins will be coming to this year's event. The famous invitational side, formed in 1959, will be playing in the Open Division. 

The principal objective of the Club has been to foster - by coaching and playing - the development, goodwill and camaderie of Rugby Union worldwide. The Club’s coaching and educational programme is organised by the HSBC Penguin Rugby Coaching Academy.

The HSBC Penguins are seasoned 7s and 10s campaigners, regularly travelling to Asia and beyond to compete in tournaments. We look forward to welcoming them to the 2011 London 10s

London 10s filling fast!

The inaugural London 10s Festival is on course to be full, with the Men's Open and Social Divisions at capacity, and the Men's Vets division filling fast. The event organisers are looking forward to announcing a number of high profile sides who will be attending the event. 

As well as the rugby, the event is set to rock, with the Saturday night party and concert being the highlight. Bands to be announced shortly. If you haven't got your team together, then don't delay, register at www.london10s.com 

South African legend brings team to RR/L10s

February 2011

London 10s has announced that South African legend Chester Williams will be bringing his side - Goal Attained to the tournament. 

Chester was the star winger in the South Afrian side which won the 1995 World Cup Final and will be bringing his charity side to the Richmond event. Goal Attained have entered a team including former Sprigbok 7s stars, current pros and players from underpriviledged backgrounds into the London 10s Vets tournament.

There is some pressure on Chester to dust off the boots for one last time so you might catch the flying winger in action again!

Here come the girls! Scrum Queens supports London 10s

British Army supporting Kidzone at London 10s

January 2011

London 10s are pleased to announce that the British Army will be attending the 2-day Festival, bringing with them an array of activities for our Kidzone. The Royal Corps of Signals Regiment based at the Mitcham Road Barracks in Croydon will be bringing a 120ft inflatable assault course and a range of target shooting activities, as well as the British Army double decker bus, which will be full of information on Army careers. This will be a fantastic addition to the London 10s site, and provides something for all the family. 

 

Entries for the London 10's Festival now open!

We are pleased to announce that entries for the 2011 London 10's Festival are now open. The London 10s will be held at Richmond Athletic Grounds, Richmond, on June 4th and 4th 2011. 

This will be much more than just a 10's rugby event, with Men's, Women's and Vets rugby sides being joined by the best Men's and Women's Touch sides in the country, competing in the In 2 Touch London Championships, the  along with social Mixed Touch sides, to create a event with something for everyone. 

Team entry includes tickets per team to the rock concert on the Saturday evening. 2010 saw 2000 players and spectators attend the event, with the highlight off the field being the Saturday evening concert which saw Just Jack, The Parlotones and Feeder rock the venue. 2011 line-up is to be announced.

Over the next few months the London 10s team will be working hard to bring the best hotel deals and event partners on board to support what will be London's largest rugby participation event. More information will be announced shortly.

Please note that only online entries are accepted, and your teams place is not confirmed unless you pay the full team entry fee. All players must be over the age of 18 on the day of the event, or 35 in the case of the Vets Division. 

London 10's hits the capital for 2011!

The inaugural London 10's Festival will be held at Richmond Athletic Grounds, Richmond, on June 4th and 4th 2011. With the popularity of 10s rugby growing across Europe and worldwide, London is the ideal city to host a major 10s event.

10s rugby has something for everyone, with the need for speed matched with the requirement for forward power, giving every player in a rugby team a role.

The event will cater for elite and social men’s and women’s rugby sides, plus Vets. The event will also host the In 2 Touch London Touch Rugby Championships. Now in it’s 12th year, the event will see the best men’s and women’s Touch teams come together to compete for the overall title of London Champions, and also a mixed social event.

2010 saw 2000 players and spectators attend the event, with the highlight off the field being the Saturday evening concert which saw Just Jack, The Parlotones and Feeder rock the venue. 2011 line-up is to be announced, but it is sure to rock your socks off. Each team entering the event receive tickets to the evening concert.

So, don’t delay and start getting your team together for the capital’s ultimate rugby event.
